1Our Privacy Commitment

9xChat is designed to keep your workspace under your control. We do not sell your personal information, use your chats for advertising, or require your name or email address to start using the app. The data that leaves your device depends on the features and providers you choose, as explained below.

2Data Stored on Your Device

By default, 9xChat stores your workspace locally on your device. This may include:

• Chat history, prompts, responses, drafts, notes, and saved memories
• Agents, skills, tools, custom prompts, model settings, and preferences
• Attachments, generated images, knowledge-base content, and search indexes
• Local usage and cost estimates used to show statistics in the app
• API keys and other secrets you add, stored using available device protections

Local data remains on that device until you delete it, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Removing the app may not remove files you separately exported.

3Online AI Models

When you use an online model, 9xChat sends the information needed to answer your request to the selected service. Depending on the request, this can include your prompt, relevant conversation history, system instructions, memory or knowledge-base excerpts, attachments, images, and tool results.

4Local Models and Offline Use

Requests to a local model, such as Ollama or another local compatible server, are sent only to the local endpoint you configure. 123sudo does not receive those model prompts or responses. Licensing checks and any network tools you separately enable may still connect to online services, so using a local model does not by itself make every optional feature offline.

5Voice, Images, Memory, and Tools

• Voice transcription: audio is sent to the transcription service you select. When using the 9xChat service, it passes through 123sudo and is processed by the transcription provider.
• Image features: prompts, selected reference images, and generation settings are sent to the selected image provider.
• Semantic memory and knowledge search: text chunks and queries are sent to the embedding provider you select. Local embedding providers keep that processing local.
• Live tools and browsing: search queries, URLs, page content, files, or other tool inputs may be sent to the websites, search services, MCP servers, or HTTP endpoints the tool contacts.

6Cross-Device Transfer

If you choose a sync, pairing, or chat-handoff feature, 9xChat sends the selected data through the handoff service so another device can receive it. Handoff content is encrypted by the app before transfer. The service also receives connection metadata needed to establish and protect the transfer, such as IP address and session timing.

7Licensing, UID, and Usage Data

9xChat uses a UID-based account and licensing system. To validate access, enforce device limits, prevent abuse, and maintain balances, the app and our services may process:

• Your account UID and license, subscription, or credit status
• A device or installation identifier and a device name or label
• Device type, operating system or platform, app version, and product name
• Model, token, character, audio-duration, cost, and transaction usage metadata
• IP address, request time, and security metadata used for fraud prevention

A UID is not designed to reveal your real-world identity, but it is still an account identifier and can be linked to the devices, purchases, and usage records associated with it.

8Payments and Support

9Data We Do Not Use for Advertising

The 9xchat.com website uses the shared 123sudo Google Analytics and Google Ads tag to measure page visits, campaign attribution, direct installer clicks, and outbound app store clicks. Google may process cookies, advertising click identifiers, IP address, browser, and device information under its own terms. We do not send chat content, prompts, files, API keys, or your 123sudo UID to Google Analytics or Google Ads.

10Service Providers and Sharing

We share data only as needed to provide a feature you request, operate and secure the service, process payments, respond to support requests, comply with law, or protect users and our services. Recipients may include AI and model providers, transcription and embedding providers, payment processors, hosting and network providers, and the external services contacted by tools you enable. Google provides website analytics, advertising attribution, and conversion measurement. Their own privacy terms also apply.

We may disclose information if legally required, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable safeguards.

11Retention

• You control retention of your locally stored workspace data.
• Licensing, security, payment, and usage records are retained for as long as needed to operate the UID, provide purchased access, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
• Online request content is processed to provide the selected feature. The receiving AI or service provider may retain it under its own terms and account settings.
• Support submissions are retained as needed to resolve the request and maintain an appropriate support record.

12Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the data we process, including encrypted network connections, signed app releases, request authentication, access controls, and abuse prevention. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your UID and API keys private.

13Your Choices and Rights

• Choose local models or your own provider instead of the 9xChat cloud service
• Review, export, or delete local chats and workspace data in the app
• Remove API keys, attachments, memories, tools, and provider configurations
• Decline optional permissions or avoid features that require network access
• Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of eligible data
• Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable

Privacy rights vary by location. We may need your UID, transaction identifier, or other information to locate and verify a request. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

14Children and International Processing

9xChat is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Our services and providers may process data in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

15Changes and Contact

We may update this policy when 9xChat's features or legal obligations change. We will post the updated date here and provide additional notice when appropriate.
